My mornings start at 6.30am with a brisk walk around the fields with my naughty puppy ‘Monty’. I get to work around 8.30am and have time for some scrambled egg and hot coffee before getting to my desk at 8.45am.
Mondays are generally the quietest day for client meetings so this gives me the chance to catch up on any outstanding facilities issues. I have a walk around with John, our facilities coordinator to make a note of jobs to be completed that week. Followed by a weekly morning meeting with our contract cleaners supervisor for a walk round and feedback.
I check my emails, print off documents needed for the advisers and stock the meeting rooms.
I grab a really quick lunch today in the MESS before setting off to our Chester office.
There are no client meeting in Chester today so I spend the afternoon stocking up with current newsletters, brochures and give the office and public area a good clean.
Its pancake day today! I ordered pancakes, maple syrup, lemons and other goodies for the team, so my first job of the day is to let everyone know of the surprise in store on Yammer.
I have eight client meetings due in this morning so I prep the rooms, greet the clients make coffees, answer the phone and generally be on hand when the advisers need photocopying and scanning done while they are in the meetings.
At lunchtime I meet Lucy and we have a walk round the block, grab a salad from M&S and join the rest of the team in the MESS for lunch.
Eight more meeting in the afternoon. These are my favourite days, busy with clients.
I have an early start today as one of our clients likes 8am meetings and I know he loves a Latte, so I am in the office for 7.45am.
Another busy day with clients but first I have a meeting with Emma our receptionist as we are expecting lots of calls today regarding our upcoming events that have just been publicised. We ensure we have all the correct information to hand for the potential callers.
This morning I met a client I haven’t seen for a year, we had a catch up and she booked on the next seminar.
After lunch lots more client meetings and even more seminar enquiries.
We are recruiting and training all the time, so this morning, inbetween client meetings, I am juggling rooms to ensure everyone has meeting rooms booked for relevant interviews and training sessions for next week.
The phones are super busy today with enquires for seminars, and just how many photocopier companies are there out there that need our business?!
After lunch I catch up with Linda who cleans our kitchen areas in the afternoon. We quickly go over anything that needs concentrating on and as always on a Thursday, Linda puts our breakfast order for the following week.
More client meetings in the afternoon, a training session and an interview for client manager in the meeting suite.
I leave at 4.30pm today to pop home for a refresh as I am meeting and greeting tonight at our Investment Dinner at Stanneylands Hotel in Wilmslow. I am guaranteed to be asked for a table for 2 in the restaurant by hotel guests as I wait at the door for our clients to arrive for their dinner.
